Description
Jelly King’ (Malus) is an upright, compact, deciduous crabapple cultivar developed by Matthews Nurseries in Whanganui, New Zealand (PVR 1390). It’s not native to New Zealand.
In mid-spring, it’s covered in large, fragrant, pure-white blossoms that last for an extended period. In autumn, ‘Jelly King’ produces huge crops of medium-sized, pink-red crabapples. This disease-resistant and self-fertile variety doesn’t require another tree for fruit production, making it an excellent choice for a street tree.
