Description
Magnolia stellata ‘Royal Star’ is a compact, multi-stemmed deciduous cultivar that produces star-shaped white flowers with a subtle touch of pink. The blooms emerge from pale-pink buds in early spring and typically feature between 25 and 30 tepals. This cultivar originated in 1947 at John Vermeulen’s nursery in Long Island, New York, and was introduced by John Vermeulen & Sons nursery in Neshantic Station, New Jersey in the late 1950s.
