Description
Betula platyphylla var. japonica, also known as Japanese White Birch, is a deciduous tree with a slender growth habit characteristic of birches, but it features larger and more substantial leaves compared to some other varieties. In autumn, its foliage turns a vibrant yellow. A notable feature of this variety is its strikingly white bark, which retains its color even as the tree matures, extending down to the base of the trunk. Additionally, its leaves exhibit resistance to rust.
