Description
Magnolia ‘Vulcan’ is a deciduous hybrid that produces spectacular, large, brilliant ruby-red flowers with a heavy texture. These impressive blooms, which can reach up to 20cm in width, open from wine-red buds from late winter to early spring and release a fruity fragrance. It’s worth noting that this cultivar may be susceptible to damage from early spring frosts. Magnolia ‘Vulcan’ is known for its early flowering and exhibits an erect and open-branched growth habit. It is a cross between Magnolia campbellii and Magnolia liliiflora and was developed by Felix Jury.
