Description
Accolade’ is a deciduous cherry tree (Prunus ‘Accolade’) with a graceful vase-shaped form and spreading branches, celebrated for its beautiful yellow and orange autumn foliage. In early spring, it produces clusters of semi-double, frilled, rich-pink flowers, making it a popular choice as a street tree. However, it benefits from protection from strong winds. This hybrid is a cross between Prunus sargentii and Prunus subhirtella and was developed in England from seed originating from the United States, being released in 1952.
