Description
Superba’ is a hybrid plant (Prunus campanulata ‘Superba’) known for its early and abundant display of deep rose-red, single flowers. Blooming from late winter to early spring, these nectar-rich blossoms hang in pendulous clusters, attracting birds. This cultivar forms an upright, pyramidal tree, making it suitable for smaller gardens, lining driveways, and as a street tree. It is not sterile. In autumn, its leaves turn attractive shades of yellow, orange, and red. The parent species, Prunus campanulata, is native to China and Taiwan.
