Description

Kiku-shidare-zakura’ is a captivating cultivar of the Japanese flowering cherry (Prunus serrulata ‘Kiku-shidare-zakura’) known for its distinctive weeping habit, with branches that arch before cascading towards the ground. In mid to late-spring, it produces abundant clusters of large, double, frilly, pink flowers. The spring foliage emerges in a bronze hue, transitioning to green over the summer. Autumn brings a colourful display of red, orange, and yellow leaves. This cultivar originated in Japan in the 19th century.
